Superintendent's Message

Mr. Rinkes

Charles Rinkes
Superintendent, River View Local Schools

Dear River View Local School District Students and Families:

It is that time of year again as we prepare for another fantastic school year at RVLSD.  The 2022-2023 school year will be a memorable one as we look forward to the future of our district while also retiring both Keene and Conesville Elementaries at the end of this year.  Our staff has been working diligently to provide a great educational experience for our students for this school year while we keep an eye on our future.  Know that every decision we make has the well being for both our staff and students in mind.

We live in turbulent times. River View remains committed to providing a safe learning environment.

We also continue to be committed to putting a high quality educator in each classroom. This year, we have partnered with the MVESC along with Muskingum Valley Health, Genesis HealthCare and Allwell to provide a platform for telehealth visits in each building.  This is yet another tool to support and be a gap-filling option for families.

Throughout the year I will be providing our parents and community with updates on our reconfiguration and the transition the district is going through.  We hope you get the chance to attend one of the community communication events, Coffee with Chuck, throughout the year.  Our first Coffee with Chuck will be on Sept. 14th at 6pm at New Pointe Church in Canal Lewisville.

Every day great things happen at RVLSD because of the tremendous staff.  We have some of the most dedicated people I have ever been around who want the best for your students, the school building and the school district.

Know that we will also be going through the Strategic Planning Process with our staff, our BOE and our community to solidify our beliefs, our values and our priorities as we create this new footprint for our district. We believe this process is very important to our organization and community as we look towards the future for not only facilities but also our students and families.

Have a great start to the 2022-2023 school year!
